I met a born and raised New Yorker last night who doesn't know who Bernie Sanders is, after a few mins chatting up I realize she's not aware of anything that is taking place around the globe (forget about the frozen tiger cubs in Thailand or the Syrian refugee dilemma in Europe) and she has no intention of knowing any of it but she is superstitious and believe all the nonsense she heard from the radio and internet. And here I thought of a word - Ignorance.

Ignorance is defined by Meriam-Webster Dictionary as "destitute of knowledge or training". Applying this definition we assume that the quantity of knowledge in the universe is universal, but there's rising social norms is referred as The Ignorant Gap. (social norms were one of my favorite terminology to utilize throughout my psychology classes.)

Accounting for the increasing number of educated people due to social norms being changed worldwide, it is safe to presume that people are actually being less ignorant. On top of the amount of resources (I have often referred it as noises) we possess nowadays, from the internet, books, travel, summits, conferences to know more and more about everything, but the amount of people who take this advantage and actually learn is still not good enough.

The popular definition of ignorant is related to social stigma, where people are disagreeing with the opinions of the popular social culture, and those who use the internet for games, comedy, and useless garbage... Knowledge and the ability to empower our personal growth is out there, but some people expand their knowledge while others chose to stay dormant to the knowledge around them.

Seeing all the post about endangered gorilla shot dead, dozens of dead tiger cubs found in freezer at Tiger Temple, cats and dogs being abused, shackled, beaten, forced to perform for entertainment and consumed as food in some places just made me sad.

Every day, animals lose their lives in awful ways, they suffer, yet they cannot ask for the abuse to stop. If only animal can speak the silence. We live in a free world yet there's no such thing as real animal rights.

Finished reading the biography of Queen Elizabeth the I at 2 in the morning, can't say how much I truly inspired by it. At age 25 she became the Queen of England and the Virgin Queen ruled England with prosperity for over 40 years, childless and unmarried, loved by English people and become one of the most iconic figures in history.

There's no room for comparison since we exist in a different era, but we are living in a world that's inherited a long line of great leaders, it's funny and yet, despair to see how we have Donald Trump running for the President of the United States. We will not live 300 years from today, but sometimes I wonder how would the future generation, the historians will write about us?

Life is a matter of perspective. How we look at the world is reflected in our ability to see through another's eyes as well.. scientists, Buckminster Fuller once asked who amongst them had seen a sunset, today I've seen a beautiful sunset from a new angle and it inspired me, I am challenged... May your perspective always be challenged and changing.

I hate rain, I really do! I hate drizzling rain. I just don't like the clinginess of wet clothing and the inconvenience (especially when I'm trying to hold an umbrella, carry a backpack, take out my bus pass, and change the song on my iPhone all at the same time)

Thundershowers are strong and angry, but at the same time soothing and relaxing. I hate drizzling rain because I never know what to do with it. I look stupid if I use an umbrella but if I don't I end up being really wet. Just don't know what to do with it... also, I get all these water droplets on my glasses and I can't see. Stupid drizzling rain.

I hate the annoying inconvenience of rain and fumbling around to get stuff out of bags and stuff whilst carrying a stupid umbrella that has just been turned upside down by the wind. Another thing I don't like about rain: how it wets my clothes and then my clothes starts clinging onto me. Especially socks, because my socks get wet, I'm at school, and I have to be stuck in wet socks and shoes for the whole day. Plain awful. I also don't like how it splashes all over the place when i walk, the back of my leg ends up being all wet.

I hate how dumbass drivers deliberately drive into giant puddles next to you while you walk on the sidewalk, minding your own business, and BAM! you've been hit by a giant wave of dirt and brown water... fun. But thunderstorm I definitely not against it. Just lovely natural phenomena. Lightning, thunder, crashing of rain against the window. Yes. I am in fact describing a thundershower as I hide safely under the protection of my roof. I do enjoy going outside with an umbrella sometimes just to hear the raindrops hit my umbrella, it's a nice sound. Of course, I don't mind getting wet at that time, because I could just walk right back in and change into new and dry and warm clothes whenever I feel like it.

Au revoir vacances. I had a wonderful holiday season and loved spending extra time with my darling, piggies and friends. It's just very intense to have Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Years and my birthday all smashed in together. I understand life must go on but I missed the holiday. I missed having a normal structure to my days with the existence of another person. The spring semester begins on Monday, and I'm not relieved. I didn't get all the things accomplished that I wanted to over my break, but hope to be expected. I will try to be more productive when I have less free time and less social obligations on my hands. Life without school for over a month? Oh yeah. I've managed to completely disturb my sleeping pattern. Instead going to bed at 12 am, I decided to hit the hay sometime after 3 am. Pretty bad huh? Gotta make it right asap when I back to New York. Talking about New York, I feel the stress and worries are all over my head. Not quite a good start for 2010, but keep my finger cross and started to have faith and believe in "Life is good" Soon, in a day. it will back to a normal work schedule for me. No more holidays for a long time. Well, except for Valentine's Day, which for me? I don't know what's the plan yet, hopefully can spend the special day with the special one. Finally I hope everyone else's holidays went well and that no one's broken their New Year's resolution already. What is mine? Don't have one yer ;)

This is how I used to think. "I love my job, I love my job, but hold on, do I really love it? Or maybe I officially hate my job, but uncertain how much longer I have to put up with my truly irritating job?" Those times are over. I'm no longer questioning myself, because I am "done" with it. I am.. Sort of glad actually, like a bird release from his cage. Not the right time, isn't it? The economy out there, mess up. Looking for a job sucks. So does the uprooted feeling of not knowing where you're going, what's going to happen or when they'll happen. I've been applying for jobs since I was employed. But whatever responses I've gotten, many of them turn me down, due to no position being open or my school schedule won't fit their company. Sucks, isn't it? I've been mentally prepared myself for months to find a new apartment, quit my job and get a life started out on my own. I did it, well.. Sort of. Moved to a new apartment ( I love it). But the rest of it, it's been 4 months, I was just sat there, ready and waited for a miracle to happen. I felt like I was moving backwards on everything. That was passed. I should be doing all the things I could get me a job, and starting to invest some time and effort into my job hunting. It ain't easy, sending off job applications is like being stuck in the golden triangle, hoping someone will notice and get me out of there.

Time flies. I'm glad I finally have the gut to move my lazy ass to update my blog. It's been a while I left my blog behind. My bad. But yeah. So I just have to say that I am so glad for the blogging world and for living in New York. I never thought that I would say that, but living here has not given me the great blessing of keeping in touch with a lot of really awesome high school friends. I am sad to say that I didn't go to the reunion because I am sure it would be fun, but mostly I didn't pay for the expensive tickets. I just get on the blog and update it to see my awesome friends still love and care about me! Thank you to all those friends that made High School good and continue to make my life good. You are awesome! Life isn't bad at all. Just wish I was a child without a dad. Acknowledging his existence is a hell of pain, and for God's sake. I wish i got to choose my own family members.

Since from the childhood, from the movies, we've been told that if we "wish upon a star" our wish will come true...

When was the first time I saw a shooting star? I remember, my freshman year in Cobleskill, Until now, I would never forget the smell of the wooden wood in the summer. Mrs. Hull's house, the fire camp, the bridge abutments, the basketball field.... That was my first shooting star in my life. And of course, my wishes came true couple week later when I wish upon the star.

Sometime in 2008, I wish upon the star during a cold freeze night in Japan House; with someone special. And again, my wish came true. I remember those nights with him, we would stay up late and i don't know why, but we developed a habit of observing how beautiful the night sky was. And so, we started seeing shooting stars and sometimes, we would see a burning red tail shooting star. They were really beautiful.

But just seeing one is really magnificent. And oh, my wishes does come true! i wished to see one more shooting star so that I'd have one more wish.:) It's really childlike but there's really no harm in believing, right?:)
