Making Barista Quality Coffee From The Home

Wednesday, December 28, 2016

On some mornings, it can be far too hard to drag yourself out of the house and down the road for a coffee. But, the coffee at home is more like muddy water than the stuff you’d like to be drinking. Making coffee from scratch at home is an expensive and time-consuming ordeal, though. And, baristas take years to master their art. So, you need an alternative. Thankfully, there are a few different options to meet your budget.

French presses can make much higher quality coffee that what you’ll find in a jar of instant. And, they’re incredibly cheap. You just need to get your hands on some ground coffee and some hot water. Add some coffee to the French press, and then fill it with water. Leave it to stand for the time it says on the coffee, and then push down the strainer. Now, your coffee's ready. There’s a little bit of cleanup to do after you’ve made your coffee. But, the coffee that you’ve made will be much nicer than instant stuff.

Some people don’t like clean up, though. So, if you’ve got a bit more to spend, a filter coffee machine may be a better option. You use the same coffee in a machine like this as you would in the French press. But, you don’t have to do any of the work. You fill the machine with a filter and some coffee and press a button to get it started. The machine pushes hot water through the coffee and the filter, leaving you with a delicious cup. Some of these machines can even be timed. This allows you to wake up to a fresh cup of coffee; that’s almost as good as the stuff you get from the coffee shop.

Of course, there’s usually an option for those willing to spend a lot more. And, with coffee, this is especially true. K cup coffee machines are designed to make a cup of coffee that tastes as good as a coffee from a shop, without any cleanup or waste. You have to use special capsules of coffee that have the right blend of ingredients to make the coffee perfectly. Unfortunately, the market has become stagnated with too many options. So, finding the best k cup coffee machine can be a bit of a challenge. You have to do plenty of research and try to understand the market. Always choose a machine with reasonably priced capsules.

A lot of baristas will tell you that the secret to the best coffee's in the milk. Unfortunately, most people don’t have the space for a plumbed steam wand. So, you just have to deal with normal milk. You can improve milk a great deal by heating it on the hob, without letting it boil. This breaks down the fats and makes it more flavorsome.

Hopefully, this will help you to ditch the sorrows of bad coffee in the mornings, escaping to a world of caffeine filled delights. Drinking coffee in small amounts can be good for you. But, like most things, it’s best consumed in moderation.
