Healthy Breakfast Ideas to Make in Under 30 Minutes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if you’re trying to live a healthy life, you shouldn’t skip it. Sadly, most of us don’t have time to prepare healthy breakfast in the morning, because somewhere between getting up, getting dressed, and getting to work you need to find time to squeeze in a proper meal. Having a few easy and healthy recipes up your sleeve will allow you to prepare and eat a delicious, healthy breakfast and still get to work on time.

Fifty shades of avocado toast

Avocado toast is a pure beauty: creamy, crunchy, healthy, and oh-so-delicious. Classic avocado spread only needs some avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and chili flakes, but you can come up with new recipes with ease. Swap lemon juice for lemon zest, and add chia seeds and some cumin. If you don’t have gray salt, pick sea salt instead.

If you like to experiment, you can try pairing avocado and pomegranate, and if you combine the two with shallots, pistachios, and some feta cheese, you’ll quickly fall in love. By adding the cream cheese you’ll make the mash extra rich, while the nuts and seeds make it crunchy and tasty.
If you have a sweet tooth, you can try putting some delicious mango guacamole on your toast. It’s buttery and sweet, and it will make you full while giving you plenty of energy.

Scrambled egg muffins

This is the best recipe because it’s incredibly easy to make and it’s quickly done. You’ll need a 12-cup muffin pan and you’ll need to spray it generously with non-stick cooking spray (or use reusable silicone muffin cups). In a large bowl beat eggs, and in a different bowl cut the ingredients you’d like to add. This is where you get creative: use ham, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, onions, bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, kale, and loads of cheese. Use salt, pepper, chili, and soy sauce to season the eggs, and add the ingredients.

You can add them all into the bowl where the eggs are, or you can take pinches of different ingredients and make egg muffins with cheese, tomatoes, or onion separately. Simply put them in the pre-heated oven and bake until the center of the muffin is completely cooked.
The best thing about the mixture is that you can prepare it the night before and let it sit in the fridge until the morning.

Healthy pancakes

Who doesn’t like pancakes? They’re delicious and incredibly easy to make. The only problem is – they aren’t exactly too healthy. Luckily, today you can improvise and make yourself incredible pancakes which are equally delicious and three times as healthy as the ‘regular’ ones.

Simply take a banana, mash it with a fork, add two eggs, a pinch of cinnamon and voila – healthy sugar-free pancakes. If you don’t have time for this, you can also use good old casein protein powder to prepare healthy pancake batch. The best thing about using casein powder is that you can actually eat it at any time of the day. Because it’s a slow digesting protein source, casein is great to eat before bed too, and in the morning you’ll wake up with a flat stomach, ready to take on any challenge.

People skip breakfast just because they don’t have time for it, and they think that the only quick breakfast ideas are either unhealthy or the taste bad (think kale smoothies). You shouldn’t skip the first meal of the day because it will prevent you from grabbing unhealthy snacks before lunch, and it will give you energy to work full-force. By always having a good, quick recipe at hand, you will not be late for work and a good diet will help you stay healthy and strong.
