Body Issues That Stop You Feeling Beautiful, And What To Do About Them

Tuesday, December 06, 2016

Most New Yorkers put a lot of effort into looking beautiful. They take care of themselves, they go to the gym, they stay up to date with all the latest makeup trends. But sometimes there are things that get in the way of looking and feeling gorgeous, despite all the effort we put in. That can be tough to deal with. But there are some things you can do about it. Check out my guide below for some help.

Eczema

Eczema is a skin condition that results in red, itchy flaky and cracked skin. It is usually a fairly minor condition, but failure to deal with it properly can cause an infection that sometimes needs to be treated in hospital. Eczema occurs most frequently in places like the knees, neck, hands and cheeks. Which can cause significant distress and a lowering of the sufferer's confidence.

The cause of eczema is not known. But it is thought to do with the bodies allergic reactions so anything from certain types of food and washing powder, to stress can trigger it off. Treating eczema is important for the suffers comfort and their confidence. Replacing harsh drying soaps with emollient cleansers can help. As can finding a way to cope with stress and avoiding trigger allergens.

Cosmetic surgery problems

With the popularity of cosmetic surgery on the rise, the issue that some people are having with their procedures are coming to the fore. Lip fillers can cause misshapenness, which needs to be repaired. Over zealous facelifts can distort the natural shape of the face and make it super stretched. But there is little that can be done one the procedure has been completed.

Even breast implant surgery is not immune to difficulties. Some implants are too large for the frame of the person or others experience problems when outdated methods of surgery are used. Happily, there are ways to deal with this. One solution is a breast implant revision, which is a surgical procedure that goes in to correct the damage done.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a reddening of the face, caused by issues with the blood vessels located there. This causes an extreme reddening, usually on the cheeks but sometimes on the forehead as well. It can cause a person to look flushed and embarrassed at all time even when they are no, so can significantly affect how they feel about themselves.

Things like caffeine, hot weather, and exercise can all worsen the condition so should be avoided when to trying to minimize it.

There are creams and gels that are designed to alleviate the condition, but another option is to cover it over. You can use a highly pigmented camouflage cream to cover up rosacea. This also works on birthmarks and tattoos as well. Make sure you top it with pressed powder to set it and ensure that it is waterproof.

Weight issues

Another body issue that can stop you feeling your most beautiful is putting on weight. It seems to be so easy to put weight on, but so darn difficult to get it off again.

Many people try to exercise more and go on a strict diet to lose weight. Whereas others prefer to make small changes like increasing the amount of fruit in their diet in an attempt to shed those extra pounds.
