Sunday, February 09, 2020

Food is pretty much the way to anyone’s heart. Food is a chance for you to be able to enjoy parts of the world that you might never get to see. Food creates cultures around the world and shapes the country or location for who they are. For example, if you think about England you’ll think about fish and chips and all of the hearty meals that they do. If you think about Mexico you’ll think about tacos and nachos and all things spicy. China is known for eating all the random bugs you’d find on the side of the street. So you see, if there’s one thing you can associate every country with, it’s some form of food that they’re having. For this reason, you don’t want to miss out on the chance to try some taste sensations. Not just because you’re getting to experience other parts of the world, but because you’re giving yourself the chance to eat some great food that’s going to make you feel good. So, keep on reading, and we’ll show you some of the taste sensations that you don’t want to miss out on.

Hot & Spicy

Hot and spicy isn’t going to suit everyone, so if you know that you’re an absolute wimp when it comes to spice, all you need to do is skip to the next section. Spicy foods are very much an acquired taste that we think you should try and get used to. If you can start off by just having a spicy dipping sauce, for example, you could then work your way up. There’s one dish that we know most people love that can either be had super mild, or super spicy. Chilli is the dish that we had in mind. Let the flavours transport you to parts of Mexico where chilli is a famous dish. The Mexicans love to have it nice and hot, all you have to do is work your way up. Have it slightly hotter every single time, and we know it will be something you can eventually endure. We know this is a good meal to have because it’s versatile. You can have it with either rice or with nachos and dips which makes it even tastier.

Sweet & Delightful

If you have a sweet tooth then you know that this section is going to suit you. There are so many options for any of you who do have a sweet tooth, such as cakes and cookies, or full-on desserts that finish off a dinner party. One easy dessert that we know people don’t go for often, but enjoy every time that they do, is creme Brule. It’s so simple and easy to make, yet it tastes so great. With some melted brown sugar on top, this dish is the perfect light dessert to have if you’re looking for something that’s on the go. If you’re looking for something a little bit more challenging to make, and equally one that people don’t seem to choose as much, you should go for a lemon drizzle cake. They’re so super tasty to eat, still pretty easy to make, and is just a simple idea that we know is overlooked in most households.

Hearty Foods

Finally to finish on some hearty dishes that suit any household. One bit of hearty food we know you might not have tried before is cornbread. Mexican cornbread brings a nice twist to this hearty bit of food by making it packed with flavour! Hearty foods such as lasagne are always going to be a firm favorite. The layers of thick richness make for the perfect meal any time of year. In the winter it can be had with garlic bread, a worthy side dish to any pasta dish. Or in the summer it can be had with a salad. Still a hearty meal, but slightly less stodgy.

Pastry Galore

The pastry is the best because you can have it either sweet or savory, and we know that some people can’t stand the thought of one, but love the other. It all depends on what type of pastry person you are, and how you’re planning on eating it. If you’re having a dinner party. Making your own apple strudel might be a nice idea. The sweetness of the apple and the crunch of the pastry go together so well, especially with ice cream or custard. If you’re looking for something more savory then you can obviously go for a sausage roll. This is a traditional English bit of food, and if you haven’t tried one before then we know you’re going to love it. The work you need to do with the pastry might be challenging, but we know it will be worth it.
