A Bucket List Just For You? What You Should Be Adding

Saturday, May 27, 2017

Many of us can have a bucket list that includes lots of wonderful locations all across the globe. Promising ourselves that we will experience some of the wonders of the world, backpack across a continent, or work in a different country. Some lists are more adventurous than others, but I think we all have the mental bucket list in some way shape or form. But what about you, what about having a bucket list just for you? I thought it would be worth sharing with you some of the things you should be considering.

Ignite your passion for food

Food can be such a huge passion for some people, so why wouldn’t something food related be a personal goal you can set? It could be a great opportunity to improve your culinary skills, or even set yourself a challenge of eating in some of the finest establishments, both locally and globally. You might want to tweak and give your signature dish some fine tuning, start a food related blog or social media account, or even develop your own recipes. What are you waiting for? Ignite your food passion today.

Make self-improvement plans

Sometimes we need to work on our own confidence and opinion we have of ourselves. So it might be worth setting yourself some goals on things like weight loss or improving your appearance in some way. Perhaps considering different treatments like Botox, cheek fillers or even face lifts. Or sticking with more natural processes like increasing your exercise weekly and changing your lifestyle in regards to what you eat and drink. Maybe giving up alcohol or quitting smoking could be on the agenda. Often placing a focus on ourselves can make us feel positive and motivated for the future.

Climb the career ladder

Maybe your career is important to you, so why wouldn't you put some of your efforts into it? You could start taking additional courses to learn something new or show initiative in the workplace by taking on more responsibility or going for that promotion you know you are more than capable of getting. A career can be an important part of your life, after all, we all spend a good chunk of our time working and earning a living.

Travel to wonderful and exciting places

No personal bucket list would be complete without adding something of a traveling nature to it. You may already have a list of destinations you want to vacation in, but perhaps think about it a bit more closely. You could consider what you want to do when you get there. For example, walking the great wall of china, drinking champagne in the vineyard it is made or swimming in the Great Barrier Reef.

Capture as many memories as possible

Finally, don’t forget to capture everything you do as often as you can. Don’t be afraid to snap a shot on your smartphone, record a video or even share on social media what you are up to. These are the things you are going to look back on in years to come.

I hope this has inspired you to start thinking about your personal bucket list.
