Being in the outdoors is one of the best ways to relax after a stressful day. After all, you are getting plenty of vitamin C from the sun! But when the weather isn’t so great, it’s harder to spend time outside in the great outdoors. Therefore, you should consider bringing the outdoors into your home. That way, you will feel like you are enjoying the outdoors without having to head out in the rain! And outdoor-inspired wall colors such as blue and green can also be a calming influence on your family. Therefore, here are some fantastic ideas of how to bring the outdoors into your hallway.

Add some forest scented candles

One of my favorite things about being outside in the open air is the wonderful smells you encounter. After all, there’s nothing quite like the smell of growing fruits and plants in your yard. Therefore, you can bring the outdoors into your home by getting lovely scented candles. They will help you to experience smells of nature. For example, you might want to get some forest scented candles which will help fill your home with a lovely aroma. Or even lavender which is known for it's relaxing benefits!

Add an indoor floor fountain in the entrance

A lot of people think you can only have water fountains outside in their garden. But you can get indoor floor fountains for your home! You can search online to find many that would make a fantastic staple piece in your hallway. The beautiful feature is elegant and will definitely help you feel like you are outside in the garden! The cascading water will help you to relax, and it will help your hallway to feel more peaceful!

Add a beautiful array of plants

One of the easiest ways to bring the outdoors into your hallway is to add a beautiful array of plants. After all, there’s nothing better than looking at some lovely plants growing in your home. They will provide a colorful display that will definitely get people talking when they come over to visit your home. And they have health benefits as they clear the air and provide more oxygen! Just make sure you are wary about which plants you choose as some might not be suitable for particular pets!

Add a fish tank full of sea life

I love ponds as you get to see all the wonderful fish in their natural environment. And although you can’t bring the pond inside your home, you could get a fish tank full of sea life. You could choose to go for some tropical fish which are beautiful to look at and are full of character. Guests will stop and take a look at the display you have in your hallway. Just remember that you will need to feed the fish and clean the tank regularly, so be prepared for the extra responsibility.

Don’t forget to use natural flooring rather than man-made if you want to bring the outdoors into your home. As this feature says, wood, cork, and bamboo are are warm and natural in your home. And you could even get a faux-grass rug to put on top; it will look like real grass but will stop any allergies!
