3.2/5 Stars

If you're a food magazine editor that come here because it's always in magazines, then this place is amazing. For the rest of food enthusiast like us, this place does not live up to the top.

I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Japanese Ramen, this is not a secret in among the people I know. A few months ago I was invited as a blogger to Acura Best Day Events, therefore, a $100 Momofuku gift card was one of the goodies I received during the event. Well... And of course I used the gift card!

We were waiting in the line for at least an hour, not to mention the waiting line was a messed, patrons scattered everywhere and often time the hostess had to walked out the restaurant and look for "Mr.T, a group of 3, where are you?" How about a phone system would work better than that, isn't it?

If you have had authentic ramen then stay away from Momofuku. You will be disappointed. Although this is a "magazine class" ramen place, but there are much better ramen places in the city if you want a bowl of noodles. The ramen that I had at Momofuku was just average. The only impressive thing was the octopus. But again, a price around $9 deserves a bigger plate. I'm not trying to be a snob about ramen but it is one of my favorite things to eat. I've tried most of the ramen in NY and Momofuku would be last in terms of price and flavor. Higher prices don't help either.

And hey, they printed out a new menu on a piece of paper to give to their patrons everyday. Don't you think is a little "non-friendly" for the planet?
My ratings? Momofuku noodle bar only worth 3.3/5 stars.
